Overview
Huiyo Architecture Co. (惠友建設) is a real estate developer based in Taichung, Taiwan, building apartment homes for families in the cities of Hsin-Chu and New Taipei (similar to the Silicon Valley in US) in Taiwan. The core value of their brand evolves around “family” “家庭”. The idea of family is deeply embedded in the heart of each member at Huiyo and extends to the way they treat every project.
Our team of five was tasked to create a web-based solution that would address both business and customer needs in the market, where there is currently a high housing demand for young and upcoming families.
Objectives
Challenges
In the pre-design phase, our team performed site audit and SWOT analysis with clients and conducted user research, interviews to identify current obstacles. This not only helped us understand the landscape of the real estate market in Taiwan but also painted a road map that guided our content to connect with the core of Huiyo.
User Research
We visited every project site, and conducted over 40+ hours of interviews with past/current/potential customers, reps at sale centers, and employees.
Every insight helped us understand people’s expectations and how we could translate them into better experiences.
Prototyping
The wireframes were developed in close collaboration with clients and copywriters. Together, we translated insights gather from interviews to establish the main goal of each page, and made content drafts to get feedback from various backgrounds of users.

Impact
Since the website launched, bounce rates dropped, volumes of appointments at the sales centers and inquiries have tripled. We have had positive feedback from both Huiyo’s internal and customers’ sides. The user-experience truly differentiates Huiyo from other competitors in the industry. Quality of leads overall is more educated, better qualified, and ready to invest.
